We have finally met one huge goal and that is to receive our non-profit status in the US. Our next goal will be to legally register as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) here in Nicaragua complying with Nicaraguan laws and administrative regulations. We will begin that process in January 2021.

We know that the next most important step would be to recruit our first intern/administrative assistant. We will be working together for three days a week. We have been trying to do that over the past year. I already have her picked out and she will be graduating soon with a degree in psychology and speaks English. We will dedicate 1 ½ days of training per week and 1 ½ days for administrative tasks. Through this process we will write our curriculum, gather and translate necessary resources and set our timeline for the training of those with a psychology degree.

In the meantime, I will be working with organizations to present small seminars for pastors and churches  in regard to mental health information and knowledge that will enhance their abilities to serve their congregations.
